Structured Finance 0→1
Led end-to-end design for a leading rating agency's first structured finance applications, reducing analyst errors by up to 33% and improving clarity of tools in a 0→1 enterprise environment.
Hi, I am Avyay
I solve problems that make every day better.

Led end-to-end design for a leading rating agency's first structured finance applications, reducing analyst errors by up to 33% and improving clarity of tools in a 0→1 enterprise environment.

Bridged the gap between market volatility and strategic action by redesigning a cost analytics platform that increased product stickiness and user likability by 16%.

I'm a product designer based in New York, working across structured finance and AI-native workflows. I care about making complex, high-stakes tools feel obvious to use, and about building the design process itself to keep pace with how fast the tools around it are changing.
Off hours, you can find me deep in
making apps to engage me and my friends asynchronously, playing
, adding items to my
list, and logging runs on
at the Jersey City waterfront, gawking at the Empire State Building.

As the execution layer becomes more accessible, my process keeps moving closer to the material my work will actually exist in. The real gap is in understanding the problem space in front of me. When I know its shape, I build directly and explore inside real components and constraints; when it's more ambiguous, I work through the problem using tools that allow for written and visual exploration. Working toward a defined solution has me gliding back and forth along that line.
The interface should keep pace with how someone is already thinking, not force them to think in the shape of the tool.
Simplicity is the default. Complexity only earns its place once it's clearly doing something simplicity can't.
Assumptions are cheap to check and expensive to build around. I'd rather spend a day confirming than a sprint unwinding.

Own end-to-end design of structured finance analysis workflows in a 0→1 enterprise environment. Defining the next generation of processes that democratize design across the org.

Led a platform-level redesign of a sourcing product for cost engineers and category managers, and shipped low-code app builders that cut internal development turnaround from weeks to hours.

Deepened my research practice, from mixed-methods and cognitive walkthroughs to synthesis and storytelling.

Led a redesign of JioMart's consumer experience that contributed to a 42% increase in customer satisfaction, and established the UX foundation for a new internal employee service portal used across the organization.

Conceptualized a solution to detect early signs of Conduct Disorder in children through emotion-sensing technologies and IoT.

Fell in love with design.
